Rhino-Rack RTC-Style Roof Rack Tracks Installation - 2019 Ford F-150- Video
Hi everyone, Aiden here at Etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install these Rhino-Rack RTC-Style Roof Rack Tracks on our 2019 Ford F-150 with a camper shell. The RTC rails are gonna be a custom solution to add a roof rack to your vehicle. Obviously we've got a camper shell today, but a lot of our neighbors really like using this just on the truck bed rails above a tonneau cover. If your tonneau cover sits pretty far in on the bed rails, this could be a really clever solution to add a roof rack above it so you can maybe mount a tent above the tonneau cover and still have your covered locked storage in the bed underneath. Our neighbor today though wants to use his truck to carry kayaks and with a short bed F-150 and a camper shell, he doesn't have a lot of options to get his boat to the water, but this is going to be a really great solution because it gets everything up on top of the camper shell, covered storage stays there underneath, and he can put crossbars up here, spread 'em out pretty far and get a really easy way to mount up his kayaks. more

If you are looking for a roof rack system that has better features than your factory roof rack, maybe it has more height, it's more aerodynamic, and it has locks, as well as a T-track channel, but you don't want something that looks too aftermarket, that's where the ROC25 or the ROC25 can come in handy. This is gonna be a slightly trickier install 'cause it is gonna be a tighter fit on your roof, and later in this video I will show you how to install it, but let's talk about its main features first. Yakima JetStream Crossbars Kit Installation - 2021 Ford F-150- Video
How's it going everyone Today we are going to be taking a look at the Yakima JetStream roof rack system, installing it and explaining how it works on our 2021 Ford F-150. So, with the F-150 we have a good amount of bed storage, but if you want to get some longer or larger items, like say a kayak, or maybe you want to use this in conjunction with like a ladder rack system to get some longer loads up on top of your roof, this is gonna be a great option to do so. So, let's take a closer look at how it works. As far as the weight capacity goes of our roof rack system, it is really robust, but you want to keep a couple things in mind, that being the fact that the system itself has a weight, the accessories that you're gonna put on 'em. Also we're going to add to that, and your roof is going to be rated for a specific weight as well. Make sure you check the owner's manual in your case, find out what that weight rating is and make sure that all of the components, including the roof rack and the accessories don't exceed that limit. more

Today on our 2017 Ford F150 we're going to be test fitting the Yakima Core Bar Roof Rack System, consisting of part numbers Y00422, these are the Yakima Core Bar Cross Bars, 60" long. Part number Y00146, these are the Base Line Towers for the Yakima Cross Bars, and part number Y006122. This is the Base Clip Fit Kit for you Ford F150. The Yakima Core Bar Roof Rack System is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof, while freeing up space inside your truck and your truck bed. It can also be used in conjunction with your ladder rack, to act as an extension for your longer ladder racks, or lumber, or whatever it is you're hauling. The two bars have a combined carrying capacity of 220 pounds, although you want to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure your roof can withstand that weight. It also has these end caps that do come with knock outs that you can replace with Yakima Same Key Systems, so once you install this on your roof it will stay on your roof. more

Today on this 2016 Ford F150 we're going to be test fitting the Rhino Rack Vortex Aero Roof Rack System. Consisting of part numbers RRVA150B-2, which are going to be the crossbars, and then the legs, part number RRRLKBA, and then the fit kit, part number DK427. As you can see we have the front one already installed, let's go ahead and show you have the rear one goes on. Once you get the kit, here's what you're pretty much going to get with it, with the exception of the roll tape here. You're going to get the two measuring strips, the legs, the foot pads, the hooks, and the covers that will actually lock up the legs once you have them installed. We have the left one installed, let's go head and move on to the other. I'll flip this around for you. Go head and take our leg here, line it up with the track, slide it in. more

Thule Roof Rack Review - 2015 Ford F-150- Video
Today on our 2015 Ford F-150, we're doing a test fit of the Thule Traverse Aero Bar Roof Racking System. The Thule Aeroblades, part number is T-H-A-R-B-6-0. The Thule Rapid Traverse Foot Pack, T-H-4-8-0-R, and the Thule Fit Kit is T-H-K-I-T-1-7-8-7. Now we already have the first one already on. I'd like to show you how we install the second one now. All right, we have a table here with our crossbar, we have our foot pad and this is our Fit Kit, the pad and the clip, plus we have a tool that comes with it. Our tape measurement does not include it but we have one to take a couple of measurements. We're going to install our Foot Kit. more

Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Roof Rack Review - 2006 Ford F-150- Video
Today on our 2006 Ford F150 we'll be test fitting the Rhino Rack Vortex Roof Rack System using part numbers RRVA150B-2, RRRLKVA, and DK150. We'll begin our test fit by placing the front crossbar onto the front of our roof. We'll then need to measure two hundred and eighty millimeters from the center of the door jamb to the center of our foot pack. We'll need to make this measurement on both the passenger and driver's side of the vehicle to ensure the front crossbar is perpendicular to the roof and the pads contour to the roof line correctly. With the bar in position we then need to pull back some of the weather stripping to insert the clip in between the weather stripping and the seam of our door. Once this is done we'll use the included tightening tool to tighten down the black bolt, tightening down each side a little bit at a time, just to make sure the bar stays centered. Once everything is all tightened down and secure we can place our rear bar onto the rear of our roof and measure the crossbar spread. more

Thule Traverse Roof Rack Installation - 2010 Ford F-150- Video
Today on our 2010 Ford F150, well be test fitting the Thule Traverse Roof Rack System, using part numbers THLB58, TH480, and THKIT1521. With our roof rack assembled according to the instructions, well grab our front bar and place it onto the front part of our roof. To ensure we have this bar in the correct spot, we need to measure 10 1/8 of an inch from the leading edge of the windshield to the closest point on our foot pack. Well do this measurement for both sides to ensure that our feet are in line with each other.Once we have it set, we can use the included tool to tighten down our clamp to secure it against our roof line. Well make our way back and forth, tightening a little at a time so we dont lose our position. Once we have it secured, we can then slide the tool under the foot pack and close the lid.Well open our rear doors and place the rear bar under the rear part of our roof. more

Thule Traverse Roof Rack Installation - 2011 Ford F-150- Video
Today were going to do a test fit of the Thule square loadbar roof-rack kit with traverse speed on our 2011 Ford F150. Weve got already a little bar in feet assemble so lets go ahead and put them on the vehicle. Lets start by opening up both front door and placing the loadbar on the vehicle. Place the loadbar properly we need a measure of 10 and 1/8 inches from where the edge of the windshield and meets the edge of the sheet-metal on top of the roof-rack. All right now, weve got a front loadbar measure out in place and we start turning it down. Well take up some of the slacks on the clamps and then well tighten it down with the included torque tool specifications. more
